Reflock · used saddles + tack

A considered second chapter for the tack you already own.

Horse and Tack Classified is the free, self-serve path for horse listings. Reflock is the separate review path for used saddles and tack: we look closely, document the item, and only then decide whether consignment is the right fit.

Before you send it in

A useful first brief has three things.

Maker and model

Include the details stamped or printed on the item where possible.

Condition and history

Tell us how it has been used, stored, fitted, and serviced.

Clear photographs

Show the full item and the details that help us assess wear and identity.

— 01 — Who it's for

For owners who want the details to travel with the item.

Consignment is for someone with a used saddle or piece of tack who is ready to share the useful context: maker and model, measurements, condition, service history, and photographs.

It is a good fit when you would rather have the item reviewed, prepared, and represented with care than place it into a fast, self-serve listing. Sending an inquiry begins a review; it is not automatic acceptance.

— 02 — What may qualify

Start with the kind of tack you have.

These are the item types in the inquiry form. Each submission is still reviewed on its own merits, including condition, identity, fit information, and saleability.

saddle

Saddles
Dressage, jumping, all-purpose, and other used saddles with a traceable maker and model.

bridle

Bridles
Quality bridles with clear details on leather, fittings, size, and current condition.

martingale

Martingales
Well-kept training and show tack that can be documented and photographed accurately.

girth

Girths
Leather or technical girths with useful sizing, maker, and wear information.

pad

Saddle pads
Pads in saleable condition, especially when their brand, size, and use history are known.

other

Other tack
If it is not listed here, send the details anyway and we will tell you whether it fits the review.

— 03 — How the fee is quoted

The fee comes after the item has been understood.

Reflock reviews the maker, model, comparables, condition, service history, and the work needed to present the item properly. We then return with a pricing band or proposed reserve and a clear fee quote before intake proceeds.

There is no one-size-fits-all fee published here because the right plan depends on the item. The quote is part of the review conversation, not a surprise after the work begins.

— 04 — Expected timeline

A short sequence, with room for a careful answer.

Timing depends on the item, the agreed intake date, and any workshop work. We will set expectations with you before the process moves forward.

  1. 01

    Submit the inquiry

Share the maker, model, measurements, condition and history, along with clear photos. The more complete the brief, the more useful the first review can be.

  2. 02

    Receive an initial response

Reflock reviews the item details and photos, then comes back with questions, an early sense of fit, and the next step if the item looks promising.

  3. 03

    Agree the intake plan

If we proceed, we agree an intake date, pricing approach, proposed reserve, and the fee quote before the item enters the consignment process.

  4. 04

    Inspect, prepare, list

The item is inspected, measured, and photographed. If a saddle needs repairs or reflocking, Reflock refers the owner to a qualified shop before the saddle is listed for sale.

— 05 — Start the review

Bring us the story behind the tack.

Send the details and photos through the existing intake form. Reflock will review the brief and follow up with the next step, proposed reserve, and fee quote.
